About Creevy Cottages
Creevy Cottages Directly on the Wild Atlantic Way, Creevy Cottages is situated along the rugged and windswept coastline of County Donegal, a region renowned for its dramatic landscape and rich cultural heritage. The traditional stone cottages are scattered across three distinct areas along this scenic stretch of coast, with some nestled mere metres from the shoreline, while others lie within a 2-kilometre radius of the coastline.
Each of these picturesque areas offers a unique perspective on the rugged beauty of Donegal's Atlantic seaboard. In one location, guests can step out of their cottage and onto the windswept beach, with the sound of the waves crashing against the shore providing a soothing background melody. Just a short walk away, another cluster of cottages lies nestled among the dunes, offering a more secluded retreat from the elements.
In contrast, some of the cottages are situated in areas that offer breathtaking views of the coastline without being quite as directly exposed to the forces of nature. From these vantage points, guests can watch as the sun rises over the Atlantic, casting a golden glow over the waves and illuminating the rugged landscape with an ethereal light.
Throughout the year, visitors to Creevy Cottages are treated to a kaleidoscope of natural colours and textures. In spring, the landscape is awash with vibrant hues of green as the first tender shoots of new growth burst forth from the earth. Summer brings warm sunshine and long days, perfect for exploring the coastline and discovering hidden coves and secret beaches.
Autumn ushers in a riotous display of colour as the leaves on the surrounding hills turn shades of gold, amber, and crimson, while winter brings a serene stillness to the landscape, with frosty mornings giving way to crisp afternoons filled with the scent of woodsmoke and damp earth.
